Flora and Jesse, along with Eleanor and Edgar and Ruthe and Lyman, were very good to attend and even help with expenses for many of the Bertholf reunions through the later years.  Jesse was with the IRS and they lived in Salina.  Flora still makes her home there since Jess’s death several years ago.  They had no children.

Lee and Alice lived in Wichita. The rest of their family also lived there at last report.

Eleanor is a caring, loving lady.  Her husband, Alfred Mills, died in 1961.  Her second husband, Edgar Futrell, died in 1970.  She lives in Wichita. Address:  6444 Ward Parkway, Wichita, Kansas. 67217.

                                                m. Carston Johannsen (div) m. Lyman Day

Ruth, called “Ruthie,” was a happy, bubbly lady. Lyman Day was a businessman in Hutchinson and enjoyed the Bertholf reunions.  He died several years ago and Ruthe continued to live in Hutchinson where she was a piano teacher and tireless worker in her church.

Frank and Maude farmed in the Cheney area.  They had no children and we younger cousins never had the pleasure of knowing them at all.  They are both deceased.

IC.  RUTH BERTHOLF  abt. 1899-196?

Ruth, often called “Little Ruth,” to distinguish her from our Aunt Ruth Klish, was a fine woman.  She and her husband always lived in Wichita and were close to Ruby and Jinx and the aunts and uncles.  Their two sons, Richard and Keith also lived in Wichita and often attended the Bertholf reunions.

Ralph and wife Ethel spent most of their life in Pennsylvania, where Ralph was a respected and successful Baptist minister.  Their children, Ann, Gail and Robert came for their mother's burial here in 1993, and many of us got to meet them.  They all live in the East. Ì
