I became old enough to work and had a position at Monsanto Chemical Co. There I met my husband, Fredrick A. Linde, a chemical engineer.  We were married in 1943.  We raised two children, Barbara and Elizabeth.

Fred went to Pittsburgh Chemical Co. from Monsanto and had a very successful career there.  In 1955, he was offered a job at a chemical company in Wichita and we and our girls moved here to make our home.  After completing school in Wichita, both girls went to the University of Kansas at Lawrence. They both then went west to California.

Elizabeth, the older, usually called Liz, married and went to live in Seattle.  Her  husband and she were parents of twin daughters, both very dear to me.   All of them are still out there, but Liz remarried.  We have kept in close touch and I had her girls here to visit often.  One of them is married now.
